Dear Donors, Supporters, and Friends of SHOES Ministry,
It is with excitement and hope that we share some important news regarding the future of SHOES Ministry. After much consideration, our board of directors has made the difficult decision to close SHOES Ministry and merge all assets with Kingdom Care, another local respected organization with a similar mission and vision.
Since our establishment in 2011, SHOES Ministry has been dedicated to meeting the needs of children in crisis who are living away from their parents. Through your unwavering support and generosity, we have been able to provide hundreds of essential items such as beds, mattresses, diapers, wipes, car seats, cribs, and more to children facing challenging circumstances. Additionally, we have offered comfort and dignity to children entering the foster care system by providing thousands of duffel bags filled with teddy bears and essential toiletries.
While we are immensely proud of the impact we have made over the years, we recognize that the landscape of non-profit organizations is constantly evolving, and it is essential to adapt to ensure the most effective and efficient use of resources. After careful evaluation, we believe that consolidating our efforts with Kingdom Care will enable us to better serve the needs of vulnerable children in our community.
Effective April 30, 2024, SHOES Ministry will cease its operations, and all remaining assets, including funds and inventory, will be transferred to Kingdom Care. This decision was made in the best interest of our mission and the children we serve, as we believe that Kingdom Care is well-positioned to continue the work we started.
Kingdom Care shares our commitment to providing support and care to vulnerable children and families, and we are confident that they will carry on our legacy with the same dedication and compassion that has defined SHOES Ministry for 13 years. By consolidating our resources, we believe that Kingdom Care will be able to expand its reach and impact, ensuring that even more children receive the support they desperately need.
We want to express our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for your generous support of SHOES Ministry over the years. Your contributions have made a tangible difference in the lives of countless children, and we are incredibly grateful for your partnership and commitment to our mission.
As we embark on this new chapter, we encourage you to continue supporting Kingdom Care in their mission to provide essential services to vulnerable children and families in our community. Your continued support will ensure that the legacy of SHOES Ministry lives on through Kingdom Care, making a lasting impact for years to come.

Our MISSION
SHOES Ministry is a Christian nonprofit who envisions a world where lack of financial resources would keep no one from taking in a child facing a crisis. Our mission is to show the love of Christ by assisting individuals and organizations in the Greater Houston area who care for children in crisis by supplying equipment and supplies which are essential to their operation. We typically supply items such as cribs, beds, car seats, diapers, wipes, formula and more.
